Mark Cheung is a chemical engineer at Ace Chemicals, and one of five hostages by Scarecrow during the City of Fear campaign.
History[]
At some point, Mark Cheung was taken hostage by Scarecrow and Arkham Knight's Militia during their takeover of Ace Chemicals as part of his plan on breaking Batman by turning Gotham into a City of Fear via an even more powerful version of the Fear Toxin. He was held within the western portion of the plant within a warehouse and tied to a pipe, presumably to act as bait for Batman. During this time, he presumably was heavily tortured due to wounds on his face. Batman ultimately rescued him and escaped via the Batmobile (also having the latter outsmart the Arkham Knight's forces by using its onboard weapons in a feint). Cheung then relayed everything he knew about Scarecrow's plot, including that he was planning to build a gas cloud of fear toxin large enough to cover the entire Eastern Seaboard, and was evacuated by Batman to the entrance of the facility.
