Kevin Conroy is a voice-actor who first played Batman/Bruce Wayne in Batman: The Animated Series. Since then, Conroy has returned to the role on several occasions both in and out of the DC Animated Universe. After several auditions, the team behind Batman: The Animated Series heard Conroy's Batman and Bruce Wayne voices and realized that they had their Batman. On the third episode of Batman: The Animated Series "Nothing To Fear" (though it was tenth to air) Conroy delivered the line "I am Vengeance. I am The Night. I am BATMAN!" which has become a signature for both him and Batman.
Conroy portrayed Batman/Bruce in every series of the DCAU (as well as all of the movies and video games linked to those series), which made him the only voice actor to appear in every series of the DCAU. Since the end of the DCAU, Conroy has returned to the role for several movies and video games as well as guest appearances on other animated Batman series (usually along with Mark Hamill).
In the DC Universe Original Animated Movies, Conroy has portrayed Batman in Batman: Gotham Knight (a bridge movie between Batman Begins and Dark Knight), Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and its sequel Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (both of which are based on early storylines from the Superman/Batman comic series). In the hit video game Batman: Arkham Asylum, its sequel Batman: Arkham City, and the finale, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Massive Multiplayer Online DC Universe Online, Conroy portrays Batman to help players feel they are getting the real experience. In the season four premiere of The Batman, "A Matter Of Family" he voiced John Grayson (Robin's father) before his untimely death. In Batman: The Brave and the Bold, he played the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh in the episode "The Super-Batman Of Planet X" and the Phantom Stranger in "Chill of the Night!".
