John Noble (born 20 August 1948) is an Australian film and television actor, and theatre director of more than 80 plays. He is known for voicing Scarecrow and Thomas Wayne in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Career and life

He is also known for the roles of Dr. Walter Bishop in the American Fox science fiction television series Fringe and Henry Parrish in the American Fox action-horror series Sleepy Hollow. His most high-profile film role was as Denethor in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. From 2015, he starred in the fourth season of television series Elementary as Sherlock Holmes' father, Morland Holmes. Beginning from 2017, he will voice the main villain Mallus in the third season of the CW series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
