Batman: Arkham Series is a video game series, starting with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009, and concluding with Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. The series had two developers, Rocksteady Studios who developed Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. WB Montreal developed Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013.
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham Asylum is the first game in the Batman: Arkham series. It was developed by Rocksteady Studios and was released in 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In 2016, the game was remastered for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the video game "Batman: Return To Arkham", which contained both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
Story
The game focuses on Batman returning Joker to Arkham Asylum after arresting him in Gotham City. After returning the clown prince of crime to the asylum, chaos is unleashed when he breaks out, and takes control of the Asylum. It is now up to Batman to stop him and his other foes including Bane, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy.
